The key is flexibility
People are using images differently these days. That’s just how it is. Clients need images for print, web, social media, advertising, and every other conceivable outlet.
The old way of dealing with image licensing just doesn’t work for clients anymore, and it doesn’t work for me either. That’s where being flexible on the photo usage terms is key.
Run some ideas by me. I guarantee we’ll be able to come together so that everyone is happy, and so that you won’t have to re-license an image to run on a billboard on the north side of town as well as the south side of town (which is another thing I heard from a client)
